Description

• Stats - Left-click on the canvas to show or hide stats.
• Parameters - Click to edit. Use mouse wheel or arrow keys to scroll numbers. Type in numbers to enter values manually.


• R - Randomisation, randomises specified parameter type of all rotators, not just selected.
• Checkbox - Tick checkboxes at the start of each parameters to be included for randomise-all.
• Reset - Reset all parameters of the selected rotator.


• Redraw - Clears canvas on each frame before drawing.
• Iterations - Iterations per frame.
• Away from tip - Draw-line starting-point, skipping from the tip towards the base or from the base towards the tip, before finally connecting line to the tip of the last rotator.
  • Skips - Number of rotators to skip.


• Angle, Rotation speed - Shape.
• Angle offset - Rotary animation.
  • Acceleration - Rotary animation oscillation.
• Length ratio, speed - Shape animation oscillation.


• Linear - Specified parameter is animated linearly.
  • Non-linear angle - Angle is used instead in non-linear animation.

Keys

- Click on canvas, then press specified keys to use them.

• Space: Play or pause.


• 1 or 2: Select rotator index - or +.
• [ or ]: Iterations / or * by 2.
• - or =: Rotators - or +.


• o or p: Angle speed.
• k or l: Angle acceleration.


• q or w: Angle offset.
• a or s: Angle offset speed.
• z or w: Angle offset celeration.


• n or m: Length speed - or +.

What is spirograph?

- Unlike the conventional spirographs, this instead uses single or multiple pendulum-like connected rotators to plot circles on the canvas.
- The drawing of the lines happens at the tip of the last rotator.
- Animations occur when it is drawn at high speed with variating degree of rotations and lengths of the rotators.
